This single edition artwork is tokenized as an ERC721 NFT and is collectible using an Ethereum wallet. The permanent record of authenticity and provenance are secured by blockchain technology. Additionally, the file is stored in the IPFS (Inter Planetary File System), and the IPFS hash is written into the token upon minting. In short, it is the most robust NFT stack available, ensuring the artwork’s rarity and immutability long term.

Love how this one turned out. It was made with three original watercolors for the sky, water and wave. The rocks are the same watercolor as the water, tinted purple and zoomed in to the watermarks.

This NFT includes the digital collectible as well as a physical token in the form of a t-shirt. The shirt is a District DT8000, made from 100 percent recycled materials.

Each WAAVE is a 1/1, meaning no more will be minted and this is the only t-shirt.

How it works

Purchase: To purchase this NFT, you need to have an ethereum wallet that is compatible with OpenSea. Next you need to fund your wallet with a little over .15 ETH (check gas prices at the time of purchase to determine how much over .15 you will need). You may send ETH from another wallet or purchase with a credit card, which is possible to do in several of the OpenSea compatible wallets. Go here for more detailed instructions on setting up your wallet.

After purchase: You may notice that on the OpenSea listing, there is a section called “Unlockable Content.” Purchasing the NFT will unlock this section. It contains instructions on how to get your physical token (t-shirt) and also the downloadable high resolution image file from IPFS.

Digital token resale: Should you want to sell your waave NFT, you simply list it for sale on OpenSea using buy it now, bidding, or holding an auction. All data on the original listing is “frozen” into the token, and will be transferred to the new owner on completion of the sale. Three percent of the proceeds from resale will go to the artist.

Physical token resale: The way to pass along the physical token (t-shirt) to the new owner is pretty informal. There is a waaves discord server to facilitate this. After the digital token changes hands, buyer and seller can connect there to facilitate the exchange. The buyer can prove they are in fact the new owner by sending the seller the secret resale code in a private DM. The resale code can be found in Unlockable Content.”
